Two ways to break bread

Meals to take home. Tables to sit at.

Most apps were built to keep you on your couch. Silo is built to get you off it. Reserve a meal for pickup, or claim a seat at a real table.

Cook's table

A sit-down dinner at the cook's home.

Ten to fifteen seats around one table. The cook posts the date, the dish, and the ticket price. You RSVP, walk over, and meet the people on your block over real food.

Silo dinners

Curated tables we host ourselves.

A cook sharing a piece of their culture, in a room full of founders, engineers, designers, and investors who'd never otherwise sit at the same table. Hosted by Silo, capped on purpose, and worth showing up for.

First dinners coming soon. Write to us if you cook or want a seat

Silo dinners are tickets, not portions. The same payment, RSVP, and check-in flow as a meal drop, just sit-down instead of takeaway.

Good questions
Is the food safe?
Every Silo cook holds a California MEHKO permit under AB 626 and passes county health inspections. Allergens are disclosed on every listing, and you can see a cook's permit status before you order.
What is MEHKO?
MEHKO stands for Microenterprise Home Kitchen Operation. It is a California permit, created by AB 626, that lets home cooks legally sell food made in their own kitchen after a county inspection.
Is there delivery?
No, and that is the point. Silo is pickup-first. You reserve ahead and walk over, so there are no delivery fees, no driver markup, and your money goes to the cook instead of a logistics company.
Where is Silo available?
We are launching around USC and University Park in Los Angeles and expanding block by block as cooks come online. Outside the radius? Send us your cross streets and we will try to bring cooks to you.
How do refunds work?
Cancel four or more hours before pickup for a full refund. Between two and four hours it is 50 percent, and under two hours you receive store credit.
How do cooks get paid?
Cooks keep 90 to 95 percent of every order. Payouts arrive in your bank through Stripe within about two business days. No signup fee, no monthly fee.
